Google+ Review for the iPhone - Free App Friday

Google+ is free on the iOS store for iPhone only!

At the moment Google+ is a invite only social network if you need an invite feel free to email applandtv@gmail.com for one :)

Google+ allows you to add people directly to circles so you are automatically separating them into groups which makes privacy and stream viewing simple! You can post to one circle, one person, multiple circles, extended circles, and to the public. Also you can view just one circle, just incoming (people who are following you) and people’s posts in your geographical area (on the app only!)

The app allows you to update your status along with four images. The app also includes Huddles which are group messaging like BBMs

SigNote Review - Creative Thinking Thursdays

SigNote is $0.99 in the iOS App Store for iPhone Only

SigNote is an app that lets you personalize your photos. All you need is a pen, paper, and your iPhone of course!

First you take a picture with your iPhone and make that your base photo. Then you either draw, write something, or sign your piece of paper. Once you are satisfied with your drawings you can choose your foreground image and place it on your picture. You can resize the FG picture and change the color of it. You can add multiple FG images to one BG photo.

Check it out! It’s fun!

SketchBook Express Review - Creative Thinking Thursday 2

SketchBook Express is FREE in the app store for Mac and iPad

This app is a great app for simple doodles or sketches. It is a lot better than MS paint. SketchBook Express is the free version of SketchBook Pro which is $79.99 in the app store. The only difference in SketchBook Express is that you are limited to 6 layers and must save the layers flattened.

Smack Talk! Review - Wacky Wednesdays 1

Smack Talk! is available on the app store for the iPhone and iPad but I’m not actually sure if it’s free! Sorry LOL

Smack Talk is an app that repeats what you say in a funny voice. Either a creepy slow voice or high pitched voice. Sure it’s juvenile but it sure is entertaining!

Aweditorium Review - Tune in Tuesdays 1

Aweditorium is free in the App Store for iPad only

This app is a simple music discovery app which instead of utilizing genre like Pandora, it is completely random. You begin with a screen full of thumbnails once you select one the music starts. You can either plug your iPad into speakers and just listen to the music, tap the screen for lyrics, or tap again for a pop up video like thing which gives you factoids about the band and song. You can swipe for a new song.

Wunderlist! Let’s get Down to Business Mondays! 1

Wunderlist is Free in the iPhone & iPad app store and the Mac OSX App Store

Wunderlist is easy to learn because they utilize their own lists as a tutorial.

It syncs across all devices (as long as you sign up with and email and password) and you can share your lists across multi platforms including Windows and Android which allows you to delegate tasks.

You can star, add notes to lists, and delete them with ease!

You can receive push notification or email notifications when a list is due but no alarm or repeating tasks.

You can change the background from a set of preloaded designs with ease.

Tip: Sign up but don’t sign up for the newsletter. It is pretty useless and annoying.

Gelato Mania - Sunday Funday 1

Gelato Mania is free in the App Store for iPhone only.

Though the game is free there are a few paid upgrades which include…

  • $0.99-$4.99 buys you 5 - 50 “recipes” which are walk throughs
  • $9.99 unlocks all levels (Which you can do for free by beating the levels)
  • $0.99 removes ads which is AWESOME

How To Play:

It’s a simple puzzle game where you have to match up the gelato to the one in the example picture. You use tools and colors in the right order to make your gelato perfect. The faster you do it and the less moves you use will get you more points!

Sonar - Social Saturdays 1

This is my review of Sonar which is free in the App Store for iPhone only.

Sonar is an app that tells you how you are connected to people that have checked in near you via FourSquare. It tells you how you may know that person by showing you your connections with them through FaceBook and Twitter.

This app is best used in big party situations where you are trying to remember how you know people or you want to strike up a conversation with someone.

This app does have a small creep factor when being used out in the wild. Especially if some pervo guy uses it as an excuse to talk to you LOL Though it does have a great out in the wild use if you are trying to remember how you know someone.

Of course all people playing must be checking in to FourSquare to use it and probably should be on at least FaceBook or Twitter.

Snap Seed Review! Creative Thinking Thursdays Episode 1!

This is my review of SnapSeed which is available in the App Store for the iPhone and iPad for $4.99 and you only have to buy it once for both the iPad and iPhone optimized copy.

In this video I show you have to change the contrast and brightness of the overall picture as well as changing the brightness in specific areas of your photo.

I also show you how to crop and rotate the picture.

I show you how to utilize the center focus function to focus your photos after the fact.

I explore the many filters this app has to offer even though it seems to only have a few you can alter them by touching the  ☆ —> ★  and/or the texture editor (which looks like a checker board) then swiping right and left to change the saturation.

There are frames… which I am unimpressed by.
